During Yoga Nidra ,you enter a profound state of receptive relaxation, all the while remaining totally aware and alert throughout its process. Yoga Nidra invites your innate intelligence and intrincis clarity to rise to the surface of your concious mind,allowing you to uncover and access the wisdom of your higher levels of consciousness.
Yoga Nidra is practiced lying down or sitting in a chair. Props, pillows and blankets are used to help you get into a totally restful and comfortable position. It is verbally guided by a yoga teacher and it usually brings your attention to your surroundings, body and all your senses, this way you are still aware of your space while gently moving into a state of relaxation.
